The BBC is looking at a project to produce on demand tv set top boxes that would enable users to view online on-demand tv services such as iPlayer on their tv’s.

Reports from the US that the three presidential debates and the vice-presidential debate are to be made available through on demand TV services provide a window on how on demand TV could have much further implications than simply enabling users to catch up with movies/soaps and music.
